Nkanyezi Baai is the founder and Chief Dental Therapist at New Dawn Dental. A University of KwaZulu-Natal graduate, she built New Dawn on a simple belief: everyone deserves quality dental care, without the stress or the price tag.
The Pietermaritzburg studio opened in December 2025, bringing the community-rooted care Umzimkhulu has known for years to Scottsville. Whether it's a nervous first visit or a routine clean, every patient gets the same warmth.

It's an affordable, minimally invasive alternative to implants for a missing tooth. It's bonded to the neighbouring teeth with a strong composite fibre ribbon, looks and feels natural, and can be flossed like a real tooth. It's also repairable if ever needed.
